The BSc ( IT) & MSc (IT) students of CIIS- Institute ofScience & Technology, Mohali –an Institute under the banner of ContinentalGroup  grossly dominated the universitymerit lists & secured eleven positions in various examinations held in Dec2009.

The BSc (IT) 5th semester students secured firstfour positions & eighth position proving their exemplary & enviable academicmettle. The University topper is Taruna Kapoor. Following close on her healswere Rupinderjit, Navreet & Richa securing 2nd, 3rd& 4th positions respectively. While Rupinder managed eighthposition. The 3rd semester students perform equally well. Jaspreet& Rupinder were first & 2nd in merit. Balminder &Tejvinder secured fifth & eighth positions respectively. MSc (IT) studentsalso followed the suite. Tania Sharma & Hemdeep kaur secured third &eighth positions respectively.

Ms Navdeep Chauhan, Principal of the Institute proudly mentionedthat the first batch of BSc (IT) of the Continental Group Of Institutespopularly known as CGI is to pass out in July 2010 & the exemplary academicperformance by the students of CIIS-IST, Mohali is definitely a hackle in theInstitute’s cap. She gave credit of this extraordinary performance to theexcellent faculty supported by modern teaching aids, a conducive environmentfor learning & of course hard work by the students. The Continental Groupconducts B Tech in IT, Computers, Mechanical & Electronics , MBA, BBA,BCA  & various International Coursesincluding Engg degree in Aircraft maintenance, Computers , Automobilemanufacturing & other fields. About 500 students after completion of theirInternational Education have secured respectable jobs across the globe invarious MNCs. The group plans to commence B Tech Civil, MCA & B Com coursesfrom session 2010.
