The requirements for entry into Georgian College’s Mechanical Engineering Technology – Automotive Manufacturing (META) program are:

Academic requirements at the 12th standard in Mathematics. In order to meet the Englishlanguage proficiency policy a 72% in English is required at the 12th standard (including a successful personal interview) or TOEIC standard of 750+ or IELTS score of 6.0 (no band lower than 5.5).

Under Georgian’s policies, candidates who do not meet these admission requirements cannot be allowed to register in our programs.

However, students who do not meet the above English language requirement are being offered a special opportunity as “Mechanical Technology Program”. This program is being offered by CIIS in conjunction with Georgian College. The purpose of this program is to give students with a Language score of TOEIC 550 - 749 the opportunity to complete a two (2) semester program which, upon successful completion (TOEIC -750 and 6 advanced standing credits), guarantees the participant registration in the Mechanical Engineering Technology – Automotive Manufacturing.
