Learning Resource Centre : The Learning Resource Centre is an integrated service facility that offers one stop access forstudents. We provide answers technical questions directly or through a quickreferral.

Mission Statement The Learning Resource Centre exist to support and enhance teaching and learning within andoutside the classroom as an integral part in the education process at CIIS.

Our LRC is very spacious, centrally air-conditioned and equipped with computers andcommunication network including the Internet. It has a comfortable seating capacity for 100+students and a good ambience. The Periodical, Lending and Reference Sections constitute thecentre. This includes knowledge & information through all kind of media. Besides this, there areproject and discussion rooms, which can be used by students for academic and research. Thereare 14 research cubicles for private studying.LRC also houses an English Center. LRC hascourse relevant resources for students / faculty / staff to study and borrow. The collectioncomprises of over 10000 books, in 3000 titles and more than 300 instructors' resources. Itsubscribes to 39 periodicals.

Technology and Program Text Requirements:

Students have access to online database, e-resources and over 7600 e-books of NetLibrary  through a log in. A facility for photocopying of library material is also provided.The LRC is responsible  for the procurement and provision of student's course texts from all over the world through its  international procurement service.The LRC has an integrated system connected to the Campus  Network providing Internet and E-mail facility to the students. At present the LRC has 9  terminals for students and 1 for staff. The numbers of terminals can be increased depending  upon requirements. Many formal events are held in the LRC due to its comfortable ambience and  spaciousness.

LRC Services   Orientation Programme: New entrants to the College are given an orientation programme which  is conducted on the first  day of the academic session. Introduction to and use the LRC  resources, physical location,  general rules and the services available are explained in the  programme.   Circulation Services:  All students are required to carry College Identity Cards to borrow from LRC.  The students are  entitled to borrow:                   Item Duration                   2 Books 2 Weeks                   1 Back issues of Periodicals 2 Days                   1 CD / DVD 2 Days   The timings of issue and return of material are from 10 am to 8 pm on all days except Sundays &  holidays.   Inter Library Loan: LRC also arranges books on inter library loan from other libraries on specific  demand. We are  having Institutional Membership of some local libraries - British Library and The  Browser. Library Hours :        MON – SAT 9.00 AM – 8.00 PM  Students are provided with their individual ID and PIN NUMBER  through which they can access the Georgian UCOL, TRU  Libraries.
