In 2004 it was brought to light by the USPhysical therapy licensing boards about the difficulties faced by the IndianPhysiotherapists to practice as a licensed therapist in the USA. Unfortunately, the only reason being- unsuccessfulUS credentialing due to deficiencies in General Education credits in the IndianPhysical therapy curriculum.

In order to combat this difficulty, HDS(Health Care Direct Staffing),the only US Health Care recruiters has come upwith a viable solution of introducing an exclusive fast track 6-months distancelearning program known as the International bridging program (IBP).

CIIS has recently tied up with HDS (Health Care Direct Staffing), US, for facilitating the InternationalBridging, for physical therapist who aspires to become equivalent to theircounterparts in the United States of America. In fact, Indian PT's, who were struggling entry into the United States, IBP has proved to be a "BIG BOON" thus paving an easy accessinto the US.

TheIBP course is conducted through distance learning in collaboration with CIIS, Punjab, India. This course aptlymeets the requirements of the general education credits for all the 50 statesand is recognized by the UScredentialing boards like FCCPT, ICD, ICA & IERF.

IBP is International Bridging Program, which isspecifically designed for Indian physiotherapists who have done their 4-years bachelor’sdegree in Physiotherapy with 6-months internship and are willing to settle andwork in US. This Program is developed to assist Indian Physiotherapiststudent’s bridge the gap when trying to become substantially equivalent andgain “state licensure” in 50 states within US. At Present, the only educationalservice provider for IBP in India is CIIS.

CIIS will provide 6months distance learning IBP and guidance on TOEFL preparations,only after theacceptance of the admission application of HDS based on the documents andundertakings given by them. The tuition fee for IBP is 3500USD.
